On October 3, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Azerbaijan Milan Ekert.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Milan Ekert presented his credentials to President Ilham Aliyev.
Then the President of Azerbaijan talked to the ambassador.
The Head of State expressed satisfaction with the level of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Czech Republic and mutual cooperation between the two countries, and also stressed the importance of our relations in terms of Azerbaijan-EU and Azerbaijan-NATO cooperation.
I. Aliyev said that our countries are interested in the successful implementation of cooperation in other spheres and expressed confidence that the Head of State would achieve this. In this regard, President Ilham Aliyev emphasized that interparliamentary, intergovernmental, business relations and reciprocal visits can contribute to this work.
Milan Ekert said bilateral relations between the two countries have been developing successfully in various fields, and this year marks the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the republic in Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic as a significant event. The Ambassador noted that over 25 years of diplomatic relations between our countries have been greatly improved in the development of our bilateral relations. Milan Ekert said he would spare no efforts to expand relations with the embassy during his tenure.
